This is a special message from the original writer of the mooWalkthrough, Ryan Rampersad.

I found MooTools when it was just an active tiny project back in the days of version 0.83. That was a long time ago. These days, I find other guides more serving to teaching MooTools than the guide I wrote here over three years ago. It was inspired by the great group that made MooTools and those that hung in the #mootools IRC channel on Freenode.

The MooTools team is still working on MooTools, do not let anyone fool you. I told a friend once:

Writing MooTools is like writing javascript, writing jQuery is like writing jQuery.

If MooTools taught me anything about:

• coding: API matters - the most natural API is the best API.
• people: people matter and community matter.

The mooWalkthrough was retired on Monday, July 30, 2012.
